Nik Bishop has been leading international schools around the world and throughout this time he has been actively involved in accreditation and school improvement initiatives.
Nik started his teaching career in the mid ’80s tutoring undergraduate students before cutting his teeth in several schools in the UK. After that, his career took off, spending nine years in Qatar (Vice Principal), then headship in Malaysia, China, Malawi and most recently Norway.
A consistent theme throughout all his headship positions has been the empowerment of others around him and the quest to make learning and leadership impactful. His experience of working with international school boards, and serving on boards of organisations including FOBISSEA, AISA, the IB Heads Council and the NEASC Commission for International Education led him to governance training and board video resources.
The Learning Deck is part of the Synnovate Suite and is the synthesis of three decades worth of reflection on what is most valuable in education for the 21st Century, which is so critically important now with the explosion of AI technologies. As a frequent accreditation lead visitor, and a strong advocate of the NEASC ACE protocol, Nik has unique insights into school development and learning impact.
