Support Staff Foundations for International Schools
Working in an international school is different from working in many other settings.
Students, families, and staff come from many cultures, speak different languages, and bring different expectations. This creates a rich environment – and also a shared responsibility.
This short training programme is designed for all support staff in international schools.
It includes administrative teams, learning support assistants, facilities and maintenance staff, security, IT, cleaning teams, and any role that supports students and learning.
The programme focuses on shared understanding, not job-specific tasks.
It explains how international schools work, how learning happens, and how everyday actions – tone of voice, language, behaviour, and decisions – shape student experience, safety, and wellbeing.
The videos are short, practical, and designed to be accessible.
They use clear language, real examples, and simple guidance that applies across roles and cultures. The goal is not to make everyone an educator, but to help everyone understand how their role connects to learning, safety, and school culture.
This training supports:
- Student safety and safeguarding
- Respectful behaviour and communication
- Inclusion and wellbeing
- Professional conduct and boundaries
- Clear roles, reporting, and teamwork
Each video set is available in multiple languages to support understanding and consistency across diverse teams. Yes, it is an AI avatar as it’s not possible to create 180+ videos in Hindi, Arabic, Mandarin etc. But nevertheless, the content is still valid as it reflects the needs and challenges of international schools around the world.
