Who we are

Learning Deck is operated by Synnovate KB, a registered Swedish company. Our website is learning-deck.com and you can contact us at info@learning-deck.com.

We sell physical card-based tools for schools and educators. We don't offer user accounts, memberships, or login functionality on this website.

What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you actively provide it - either by placing an order or by using the contact form.

When you place an order

Payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We don't see or store your payment card details at any point. After a successful payment, Stripe sends us the following information which we store to fulfil your order:

• Your name and email address
• Shipping name and address
• What you ordered, quantities, and amounts paid
• Stripe transaction references

This data is stored in a database on our server so we can process and ship your order, handle any issues, and keep records for accounting and tax purposes.

When you use the contact form

The contact form collects your name, email address, and message. This is sent directly to our inbox as an email. We don't store contact form submissions in any database.

What we don't collect

We don't use cookies for tracking or analytics. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking tools. We don't create user accounts or profiles. We don't collect data about your browsing behaviour on our site.

How we use your data

We use your data only for the purposes you'd expect:

• Order fulfilment - to process, ship, and confirm your order
• Customer communication - to respond to your contact form message or to follow up on an order issue
• Legal and tax obligations - to maintain records as required by Swedish and EU law

We don't use your data for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making. We won't send you newsletters or promotional emails unless you explicitly ask us to.

Who has access to your data

Your data is shared only with the services necessary to fulfil your order:

• Stripe (payment processing) - Stripe handles all payment card data under their own privacy policy. We never see your card details.
• Brevo (email delivery) - order confirmation and contact form emails are relayed through Brevo's SMTP service.
• Hetzner (hosting) - our server infrastructure is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in the European Economic Area.

We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone else.

Where your data is stored

All data is stored on servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA), hosted by Hetzner in Germany/Finland. Stripe and Brevo also maintain EEA-compliant data handling. No personal data is transferred outside the EEA except where these providers have appropriate safeguards in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

How long we keep your data

Order records are retained for as long as necessary to fulfil legal and tax obligations - typically 7 years under Swedish accounting law. After that period, records are deleted.

Contact form messages exist only in our email inbox and are handled according to normal email retention.

Your rights under GDPR

As we are based in the EU, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access - you can ask us what data we hold about you
• Rectification - you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure - you can ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Portability - you can request a copy of your data in a standard format
• Objection - you can object to how we process your data

Children's privacy

Our products are designed for educators and school leaders, not for children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top. We don't collect email addresses for notification purposes, so please check back periodically if this matters to you.
